Polyglycolic Acid Fast (Uniglyde Fast) is an absorbable, sterile, synthetic surgical suture composed of polymers made from 100% homopolymer of glycolide, are coated with the equal parts of Polycaprolactone and calcium stearate. It is available in Undyed. Uniglyde Fast meets all the requirements as per the United States Pharmacopeia for Synthetic Absorbable Suture.
In-house needle manufacturing provides the better needles with optimum sharpness which is finally delivers smooth riding on tissue during suturing.
PPOLYGLYCOLIC ACID SUTURE INDICATIONS
Uniglyde Fast absorbs by simple hydrolytic mechanism and absorption is predictable. It retains approximately 75% of the initial tensile strength after 3 days, 50% after 5 days, absorption is Faster and absorbs within 40-42days.
Properties: Smooth passage through tissue provides no trauma, High tensile strength, good knot security, easy knot replacement, reduces pain and discomfort, minimal tissue reaction and are used in short term wound support, soft tissue approximation, including use in ophthalmic procedures. It is not used for cardiovascular and neurological procedures.
