Monofilament Polyamide Suture is a non-absorbable sterile synthetic surgical suture commonly know as polyamide. This Nylon Suture is composed of long chain aliphatic polymers made from 100% homo polymer of Nylon 6 and 6.6. It is dyed black or blue to enhance the visibility in tissue. These sutures are infection resistant. Polyamide Nylon sutures elicit minimal tissue reaction and do not cause tissue rupture. In house needle manufacturing provides better needles with optimum sharpness which finally delivers smooth riding on tissues during suturing.
INDICATIONS
Monofilament polyamide Suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation, ligation including use in ophthalmic, plastic, neurological surgeries and micro procedures. UNISON is neither absorbed nor subjected to weakening by tissue enzymes, non-adhering and biologically inert. It is ideal for skin closure.
- Properties: Good knot security, excellent tensile strength, do not exhibit elasticity while knotting which is ideal for skin closures, Smooth passage through tissue provides no trauma.
